The body is not a robot that can handle just about anything and not break down. You probably wish you could just be a super human: cater to your family, work for many hours, earn a lot of money, and save the world while at it. That would be a perfect life, but the body wasn’t programmed that way; that’s why it’s wise to take time out to keep up with a healthy lifestyle.

A little stress is good in helping you achieve tasks faster, but when it becomes chronic then there’s a problem. It can cause serious health problems such as obesity, menstrual problems, s****l dysfunction, cardiovascular disease, skin and hair problems, and other health-related factors.

Sometimes, you get way too stressed out by worrying about the littlest things. Some people use stress to their advantage to handle certain tasks. Others fall ill at the smallest show of stress. People are different and you don’t have to measure yourself at the same level as another person who seems to be a walking stress absorber. The fact that you can’t take in too much at the same time doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you.

It can get so overwhelming when the bigger things are crowding your mind, and it suddenly feels like you’re doing too much with such little energy left. It gets so bad that you either can’t get motivated enough to do any work, or your body just gives out on you, resulting in you falling ill.

The signs of stress are always there and, while some people find it easy to identify and take a break, others wait for the outcome before they realise they had been stressed. There are things you can do when you’re stressed out, especially when you identify the signs. But what are these signs that you are identifiable?

Signs you are way too stressed out

Signs of being overstressed can be classified into three different areas: emotional, physical and cognitive signs of stress.

Emotional signs and symptoms of stress

When your stress level reaches the maximum level, you are prone to feeling and acting in ways that are questionable. People might even question your sanity and stay away from you when you’re in this state. But it’s going to be fine; you’re just stressed out.

When you start feeling any of these, please take a breather until you feel better. Step out of your present location if possible, and take a walk or listen to a song to get your calm back. Here are some emotional symptoms that are associated with stress.

  • Moodiness
  • Avoiding others
  • Feeling overwhelmed
  • Getting frustrated and agitated
  • Feeling depressed

Physical signs and symptoms of stress

This is the part where we feel like we can handle whatever comes our way by just popping pills into the body. However, when you do notice these signs, you should take a sabbatical or see your doctor if there is no improvement.

  • Insomnia
  • Low energy
  • Persistent muscle pain
  • Getting dry mouth
  • Finding it hard to swallow
  • Loss of s****l desire or ability
  • Early ejaculation
  • Frequent infections and cold
  • Nervousness and shaking
  • Chest pain and rapid heartbeat

Cognitive signs and symptoms of stress

What happens to your mind when you’ve got too much to worry about? There’s a lot that goes on in your head and it soon results in negative effects. Find a way to distract your mind with songs you enjoy listening to while you take a break. Here are cognitive signs and symptoms of stress

  • Forgetfulness
  • Short attention span
  • Poor judgemental decisions
  • Excessive worrying
  • Racing thoughts

Life is too short to worry too much and stress yourself out over things, whether you can control them or not. You should take a time out ask for help. Whichever comes first, just remember that the world wouldn’t end if you take a break.
