Apple has released two iPad devices ahead of its official video-streaming service debut. On 25th March 2019, Apple is having an event that experts say is unlikely to be hardware focused. The company might launch new subscription services instead.
But exactly a week before the launch, on 18th March 2019, Apple launches the new iPad Air and iPad Mini. This is going to be the first update to the iPad Mini 4 since its debut in 2015. The iPad air is starting at $499 (N180,600), and the new iPad Mini will cost $399 (N144,400).
The 9.7-inch iPad introduced last year will remain in the line-up. The new models are now available for pre-order and will be in stores next week.
Apple often has its product launch in March. At last year’s event, it delivered a refreshed edition of the entry-level iPad and some education-friendly software initiatives.
Today’s new products were announced in a press release. It does seem like these might be the only gadgets Apple will be releasing this year. The event next week will most likely focus on its new video streaming service only.
