Remember “Nneka, The Pretty Serpent”? Thriller film that gave 90s children nightmares? A remake is coming your way!
Play Network Studios, producers of “Living In Bondage: Breaking Free”, “Rattle Snake: The Ahanna Story” is back with the remake of “Nneka The Pretty Serpent.”
The first teaser for the remake has been unveiled via Play Network’s official Instagram handle.
The teaser features the lead character of the original film Ndidi Obi. It’s however unclear if she’ll be reprising her role as lead character.
According to Play Network, “Nneka The Pretty Serpent” remake will hit the cinemas on December 18th, 2020.

Play Network had created a competition to harvest the best screenwriters which saw Baruch Apata emerge winner. Auditions also took place in three major cities within Nigeria in search of the best actors for the remake.
Speaking on the film, the screenwriter shared:
“Expect to see scenes and faces from the original story but ideas not explored before”, Apata said “The story will take a global approach with a background story that answers some questions that the original story barely explores”.
Directed by Tosin Igho, “Nneka the Pretty Serpent” was coproduced by Ramsey Nouah, Chris Odeh and Chinenye Esuene.
