In an effort to encourage similarly plagued women, Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has opened up on her struggle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).
The actress, 33, who recently put to bed a baby girl shared how she was able to defeat PCOS after seven years of struggling with the condition.
According to Mayo clinic, Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder common among women of reproductive age. Women with PCOS may have infrequent or prolonged menstrual periods or excess male hormone (androgen) levels
Etinosa shared a photo of herself rocking her baby bump while expressing how grateful she was for the safe delivery of her baby.
“I am ending the year on a high note 🎉 Full of Thanksgiving. Thanks to my family and friends Thanks to all my employers- Filmmakers and Businesses that trusted me with their projects. Thanks to my fans and viewers. Special thanks to the management and staff of The Ark Clinic. And above all, thanks to God Almighty. This year l defeated PCOS. This year I carried my own child 🤱🏽”
“To every woman TTC, please do not give up. Do not let anyone exploit you by selling all sorts of medications to you, be careful. Please try to be happy and trust this God. If anyone is mocking you, try to avoid and protect your space. The God that did it for me will rise up for you in due season. We shall all see the new year and celebration will be our portion. Etinosa Idemudia also shared another post of the drugs she’s using while advising her female followers;
“Everyone is facing one battle or the other let’s encourage each other. This is very difficult for me to share but I can’t ignore the messages. One particularly made me emotional. You suffer to get pregnant then miscarriage raises its ugly head!! I have been there. Not pretty one bit but today I stand with you and we will all testify one after the other. Amen.”
