Nigerian comedienne Oluwadamilola Adekoya aka Princess has opened up on her failed marriage to film producer Jeremiah Adeshola. The actress while in an interview with TVC Your Views also took the blame for her marriage which lasted only two weeks.

She also urged people to see her new movie titled” Body Bag”, which tells the story of her life.

“I take the blame for the failure because it shouldn’t have happened. I was stupid, plain and simple. You know I am a romantic. Love is not enough. A counsellor said to us it is better to have a broken engagement than to have a broken marriage. Automatically I said we have given out IVs. How are we going to do that?”

“He found out that I wasn’t as out there as it looked. For example my fashion sense, you saw that at least today they helped me. He was the one that made me to start wearing gown. He did a lot of things for me that ordinarily, I didn’t do for myself. If you have been married and you are sitting because somebody advised me ‘ do not sit’ but I thought to myself, as a Yoruba girl, you need to sit and think. It’s been seven years and I’m still thinking. My advice for everyone, when you face a challenge in life especially in these tough times, do not be like Princess, be like Funke Akindele or Tiwa Savage. Whatever happens to you, something better is ahead. Do not sit down”. She said

Princess got married in 2013 at the Federal Marriage Registry in Ikoyi, Lagos. It was followed by a lavish ceremony held at Balmoral Events Centre, Oregun, Lagos.
