Veteran Nollywood actress Patience Ozokwo recently opened up on how actor Chika Okpala and late Pete Eneh introduced her into the Nigerian film industry.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, 18th February, she reflected on her early days as an actress while also sharing a throwback picture.
Ozokwo, who is fondly called Mama Gee, said the duo were her classmates at the Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) where they enrolled in the mature students’ programme.
The 62-year-old recalled how she usually makes the pair and other classmates laugh that they eventually asked her to consider acting.

Patience Ozokwo was born on 14th September 1958 in the village of Amaobo, Ngwo, Enugu State, Nigeria. She attended Abimbola Gibson Memorial School in Lagos.
Ozokwo had a passion for acting since she was at primary school, where she would feature in different stage plays. She later attended the Institute of Management and Technology Enugu, where she obtained a degree in Fine and Applied Arts.
Before her debut in acting, she was already a star in a radio drama. Patience took part in a radio drama by the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) titled “Someone Cares”.
