Mary Njoku Hits Back At People Accusing Her Of Underpaying Her Staff, Demands Evidence

They recently came under heavy criticism after Mr Njoku said N4.6 million was too small to pay as tuition for children.

 

Many who called them out said it would be impossible for their staff to pay tuition that high when they’re being underpaid by Mary Njoku and her husband.

 

The mum of three responded by asking people who have evidence that she underpays her staff to come forward.

In a post shared to her Instagram, the actress and entrepreneur said she values all her staff.

“I want to apologize for speaking about meritocracy.” she wrote. “For speaking up for smart people who work hard but underpaid cos they couldn’t afford to further their education. I apologize. I run ROK. And we value our employees irrespective of their educational qualification.”

Mary Njoku and her husband are the co-founders and CEO of iROKOtv, a video-on-demand service for Nigerian movies. The couple has three children together.
