Talented Nigerian actress and producer Eniola Badmus recently lost a childhood friend. She shared her photos on social media to grieve and pay tribute to the deceased.
The lady, identified as Oyin Oshikanlu, had been her friend since their secondary school days. The deceased was her school mother and a good friend, she revealed. The Omo Ghetto actress described Oshikanlu as a friend who was there for her during the good and bad days.
Describing her as a friend indeed and her backbone, she expressed that she would always miss Oshikanlu.
Badmus, in respect to her lost friend, flooded her Instagram page with photos and videos of the two of them. She tagged them as memories.
“A good friend is hard to find, hard to lose, and hard to forget. Forever on my mind💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔”
Eniola Badmus, however, did not reveal the cause or time of her friend’s death. But from her messages, she expressed that the loss had hurt her deeply.
There were reports in 2018 that Lagos socialite Oyin Oshikanlu suffered cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy session at an undisclosed hospital abroad. Surviving the Lagos socialite is her son Obaoluwa Aikhionbare with Oil and Gas mogul, Sam Aikhionbare.
This comes about a month after the producer took to her Instagram story to reveal her close shave with death. She revealed that she had a muscle pull in her neck, which left her in so much pain that she felt she was about to pass on. She wrote,
“Muscle pull in the neck. I saw my mum today in heaven. The pain was too much, was actually crying like a baby. I died today.”
Badmus’ professional career in the Nigerian film industry began in 2000. She shot to the limelight in 2008 when she starred in two Yoruba films titled Jenifa and Omo Ghetto. She has since featured in several Yoruba and English films.
