Grammy award winning singer Adele has dropped her new single “Easy on Me” off her much anticipated, yet to be released “30” album.
In the piano-backed, emotional track, Adele sings talks about her lost love, the mistakes she made while in love and asks her partner for an opportunity to fix the relationship.
On Saturday 9th October, Adele gave her fans a sneak peek of the song during her first-ever Instagram Live by playing a snippet.
When asked what the album would be based on during the Live session, the singer revealed, “Divorce, babe, divorce.”
Adele and Simon Konecki finalized their divorce in March, nearly two years after they first split. “Writing my music has been really therapeutic, for sure,” the singer added.

On Wednesday, the British star announced that her album would be released on 19th November almost six years to the day since she released her last record.
In a statement shared on social media, the singer explained that she had started working on the album nearly three years ago and was in a completely different place than she had expected to be.
“I was certainly nowhere near where I’d hoped to be when I first started it nearly 3 years ago,” she wrote. “Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly willingly even, throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil!”
Adele wrote that she’d “learned a lot of blistering truths” about herself along the way, but is finally in a place where she feels comfortable releasing her music to the world.
