She made the revelation known with a black-and-white mirror selfie she posted on Instagram on Wednesday, 24th July 2019. Hathaway, who is currently filming a remake of 1990 film “The Witches,” hinted at struggles of infertility. Her disclosure revealed it may have not been ‘a straight line’ for her and her husband, Adam Shulman, to have their first son.
“All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies,” she added. “Sending you extra love 💕”
Hathaway and Shulman got married in September 2012. They had their first child, Jonathan Rosebanks, in 2016.
After the Oscar-winner gave birth to her first child, she spoke out about the pressure to get back in shape.
“Love what you have been given,” she captioned with a photo of her jeans. “There is no shame in gaining weight during pregnancy (or ever). There is no shame if it takes longer than you think it will to lose the weight (if you want to lose it at all).”
She also added: “There is no shame in finally breaking down and making your own jean shorts because last summer’s are just too dang short for this summer’s thighs. Bodies change. Bodies grow.”
