Wisdom Macaulay, Annie Idibia’s elder brother, has publicly apologised after alleging that she is a drug addict .
In a video posted on his Instagram handle on Saturday April 2nd, Wisdom said his sister isn’t a drug addict. He added that the defamatory words he spoke about her were a result of depression.
“I want to use this opportunity to apologise to my sister, Annie Macaulay-Idibia, to her husband, and the entire Idibia family.
Want to apologise to my mother, my wife and my in-laws. I am deeply sorry for my outburst some days back. Want to use this opportunity to reach out to Annie’s colleagues to plead with her to find a place in her heart to forgive me.
My sister is not on drugs; neither am I. I have been undergoing depression, and I am deeply sorry. Thanks to all the people that have reached out to me from all over the world. Those around me that have given me support and strength in this troubling time.”

Macauley had earlier accused the actress of treating him like a slave. Taking to his Instagram page on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, he alleged that the actress has refused to pay him all his dues during the period he worked for her.
While replying to the accusations, Annie Idibia described her brother as irresponsible and a wasteful spender.
The actress also explained that their rift started and refused to make him her manager. She further alleged that she has been responsible for the upkeep of his family for a very long time including paying for his children’s school fees.
She finally advised him to stop acting like he is entitled to her money and to leave her family alone.
