Samsung has announced its highly rumoured Galaxy watch 4, the health and fitness was unveiled during its Unpack event yesterday. These are available in black, green, silver, and pink gold colours.
There are 44mm and 40mm sizes for these watches, weighing 30g and 26g respectively without their straps attached. AS expected, the bigger watch has more battery life, 361mAh, while the other 247mAh.
Earlier Samsung teased its new smartwatch chip, the Exynos W920. This is Samsung’s 5nm processor to power its next generation of wearables, an industry first.
Samsung says this is “the watch that knows you best”. Its new smartwatch is health and fitness-themed, a companion to a healthier you.
Galaxy watch 4 actively gets to know your body fat percentage and skeletal muscle. Its BioActive Sensor and chip bring a lot of tech in a small package.
Galaxy watch 4 sports an Armor Aluminium metal frame with optional hybrid leather bands or sports bands. The larger watch measuring 1.4-inches has a Super AMOLED (450×450) display, while the other 1.2-inch has a Super AMOLED (396×396) display.

Harry Cho, vice president of System LSI marketing at Samsung Electronics said: “Wearables like smartwatches are no longer just a cool gadget to have. They’re now a growing part of our lifestyles to keep you fit, safe, and alert.”
The small processor makes room for a bigger battery, we can expect the Galaxy Watch 4 to have more battery life. This device becomes the very first to use Google’s wear OS.
Just like Apple’s smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch 4 has numerous watch faces with AR Emojis. So intuitive, they display different animated graphics while you run or listen to music.
The smartwatch is only compatible with Android 6.0 or higher, and 1.5GB RAM and above. Included in the shipping box are the Galaxy Watch 4, wireless charger, and a quick start guide.
