Actress Keke Palmer found herself entangled in a Twitter feud with singer August Alsina after a fan alleged she and the singer were involved at the same time he was in an affair Jada Pinkett-Smith.
Keke Palmer had tweeted a few hours after the episode aired saying everyone should keep their businesses private.

After that, a fan tweeted a picture of Keke Palmer and August Alsina alleging that they’d previously been in a relationship. Palmer wasting no time, responded to the tweet saying Alsina was never her man.
“Yes girl. August was never my man lol. That’s why you’re still reaching to this day to figure out nothing.”
she wrote to which Alsina responded affirming that he was never her man and could never be.

He also followed with a series of independent angry tweets seemingly directed at Keke Palmer.

Meanwhile, Keke Palmer on her end defended her character in a lengthy Instagram post saying she is going to take the high road.
“I wanna be mean, but I can’t. I want to post screenshots, but I won’t. I feel attacked, but It’s not about me. It’s about so much more than that and as much as I want to defend myself against the disrespect I have received (cause I mean I’m not nice all the time) this is about something so much bigger,‘ began Palmer.
She also said she does not ‘feel good kicking someone when they are down.’
“Because it’s so easy to attack when you’re in a corner, I get it. People be hurting y’all and most of the time it has nothing to do with you. I can’t f*** up my karma worried about my ego, though I’m human and I have one”
