Avengers: Endgame has already broken the record for the biggest box-office opening of all time in China. On its opening day on Wednesday, 24th April 2019, it reeked in a whopping $107.2 million!

The film, which opened in China two days ahead of the United States, is about to become the Hollywood film of all time in the country. This comes after it broke the record as China’s biggest opening day ever.

A film ticket service in China is projecting Avengers: Endgame to gross $521 million for its entire run time in the country. This will make it the highest-grossing non-Chinese film ever in the Asian country.

The film also shattered several pre-sale records in the United States. A ticket service in America says it’s the biggest first day and first-week seller. This is because it has sold five times as many tickets as last year’s Avengers: Infinity War. Another theatre in the States also records the biggest pre-sale ever. It is keeping 17 theatres open around the clock for the entire opening weekend due to high audience demand. That would be from Thursday, 25th April, to Sunday, 28th April 2019.

The film is expected to break Infinity War’s 2018 opening weekend record in the US. It grossed $258 million on its debut day, while Endgame is projected to gross at least $280 million.

In Nigeria, however, Access Bank gave its customers and staff the opportunity to enjoy an advanced screening of the film on Thursday, 25th April 2019. The screening is in partnership with Filmhouse Cinemas in different locations across the country. The locations include Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kano and Ibadan.

The film will officially be out for public viewing on Friday, 26th April 2019 in most other parts of the world including Nigeria. Can it break the box office record in Nigeria too?
