It is pretty interesting that Avengers: Endgame is trending again a couple of months after its initial release. But it is for a good cause.

The president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, recently confirmed the re-release of the film. It will include a tribute to the comic legend, Stan Lee.

In an interview with Comicbox.com Feige said, “I don’t know if it’s been announced. And I don’t know how much (but) yeah, we’re doing it next weekend.”

In another interview, Feige said the new film will not be an extended cut. He said rather, “If you stay and watch the movie, after the credits, there’ll be a deleted scene, a little tribute, and a few surprises.”

The Avengers are expected to assemble once more in order to undo Thanos’ actions. They will restore order to the universe as seen in the earlier released version. This time, however, there will be a bonus of seven minutes that will include a tribute to Stan Lee.

The first “Avengers: Endgame” was released in April 2019. It broke the box office record in America to become the number two film of all time.

Box office

By June 2019, the film has earned more than $831 million in America alone. It was able to make a global sale of $2.7 billion worldwide. They were so close to beating Avatar’s $2.8 billion worldwide record.

There are speculations that this re-release might be how Avengers: Endgame will close the gap and probably become the number one film of all time.

Apparently, it comes to cinemas next weekend, 28th June 2019. It is unclear, however, how long the new film will be in the Cinemas for.

The film was the final story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. It also comes a few weeks before Marvel’s upcoming Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will premiere in cinemas on July 2nd.
