Father of BBNaija Season 6 housemate Angel Smith has decried the continued slut-shaming of his daughter on the show.
Several housemates and even viewers have criticised Angel’s manner of dressing and conduct in the house, something her father says is unfair profiling.
Mr Smith who handles his daughter’s Instagram page said “there’s nothing new under the sun” and the slut-shaming has to end.
“Slut-shaming Again ?? For how long are we going to keep addressing, educating and sensitizing on this same issue? There is nothing new under the sun and this is all we anticipated already. But is this really how we want to normalize profiling ? We have been called a slut, ashawo, loose, dirty and all sorts because of how we choose to portray ourselves physically.”

Train yourself to do better as an individual so others around you can tap into that energy. Keep your respectability politics to yourself. Recall Maria, Peace and Nini’s infamous conversation in the Executive lounge that earned them heavy criticism from viewers.

In there, Maria had expressed her dislike for Angel, and the others had towed the same line with all of them using derogatory words to describe the 21-year-old.
They also slut-shamed Angel which was heavily frowned upon by viewers. Many also say it may have contributed to Maria’s early eviction.
