The BET Awards held on Sunday 28th June 2020. Due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, the show was streamed virtually across the globe.
The event was hosted by Amanda Seales and had performances from Lil Wayne, Alicia Keys, Megan Thee Stallion, Roddy Ricch, Chloe X Halle, DaBaby, Jay Rock, Jennifer Hudson, Questlove, Nas, Usher, YG, and many more.
Nigerian superstars, Burna Boy and Wizkd went home with the Best International Act and BET Her Awards respectively. Rema lost to Sha Sha, the Zimbabwean act who won the Best New International Act Award.
