Bolt, Europe and Africa’s fastest growing transportation service, made it easy for people across the country to give back during Ramadan.

Bolt riders in Lagos and Abuja joined in a mass collection effort during Ramadan. It aimed at bringing hope to the less fortunate by donating clothes, canned food items, toiletries and other non-perishable goods. People were able to donate using a special category on the Bolt app on Wednesday, 29th May 2019. Drivers arrived at the pickup locations and collected donations free of charge.

The celebration saw the donation and delivery of over 1000 clothes and hundreds of food items and toiletries. They went to SOS Children’s Villages in Isolo, Lagos and also various IDP camps across Abuja. In a statement by Gboyega Fadowole-Aje, National Fund Development and Communication Coordinator at the SOS Children’s village, he commended Bolt for their partnership and immense support towards contributing in enriching the lives of children and young people in the program of SOS Children’s Villages Nigeria. He also expressed hope that this would continue.
