UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson was yesterday admitted hospital over what aides have described as “persistent Coronavirus symptoms”.
Mr Boris was admitted to St Thomas’ Hospital in Westminster at 8pm on Sunday after persistent fever and other covid-19 symptoms Business Insider reports.
A Downing Street spokesperson said: “On the advice of his doctor, the prime minister has tonight been admitted to hospital for tests. This is a precautionary step, as the prime minister continues to have persistent symptoms of coronavirus10 days after testing positive for the virus”
While Downing street insists that the prime minister is well on the bend, sources have said Boris continues to have breathing difficulties. Reports says he was hooked to an oxygen tank upon arrival at the hospital.
Before his hospitalization, multiple reports said Johnson was heard “coughing and spluttering” his way through conference calls.

On Monday 6th April, Johnson’s personal Twitter handle carried message from the Prime Minister saying he’s in good spirits.
Last night, on the advice of my doctor, I went into hospital for some routine tests as I’m still experiencing coronavirus symptoms. I’m in good spirits and keeping in touch with my team, as we work together to fight this virus and keep everyone safe.

Johnson’s pregnant girlfriend Carrie Symonds, is also suffering from the virus.
Trump sends good wishes
American President Donald Trump has described Johnson’s hospitalization as a “big move”.
“Hey, it’s a big move going to the hospital, it’s a big thing,” he told journalists.
He added that Uk Prime Minister is a great gentleman and he hopes he’s OK
“I want to express our nation’s well wishes to Prime Minister Boris Johnson as he wages his own personal fight with the virus”
“All Americans are praying for him, he’s a friend of mine, he’s a great gentleman and a great leader”
The Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is designated to handle Johnson’s responsibilities as he recovers from Covid-19.
