Burna Boy Receives Gold Plaque In France For “On The Low”

African Giant singer Damini Ogulu, popularly called Burna Boy, has received a gold plaque in France for his 2018 single “On The Low”.

 

The Grammy-nominated singer shared the good news on his Instagram page looking happy for his latest achievement. He posed in the company of his mother and manager, Bose Ogulu.

 

A gold plaque is presented to an artist who has over 15 Million streams in the country and for selling 100,000( or more) copies of the single.

 

“On the low” went Gold in France 🇫🇷 without any radio push or promo. Love every single one of you that streamed it over 15m times, it’s still #FOOTONNECK2020.” He captioned the photo.

Burna Boy’s “On The Low” was produced by super talented producer Kel P in 2018. The song became a big hit with over 103 Million views on YouTube.

 

Last year was a busy one for Burna Boy as his career got an international breakthrough. He claimed numerous awards at award shows like The Headies, BET, Soundcity MVP, MTV Europe Awards and so on.

 

He also got a Grammy nomination as well for his album. Although his album lost to Beninese music legend Angelique Kidjo in the Grammy’s, he is described as one of African’s biggest music export and a talented musician changing the narrative in the Afro Beat genre.
