You know how you could have amazingly beautiful nails and next thing you know they just start breaking. It is saddening, especially after investing so much energy into growing them to the specific length.
It probably breaks because you aren’t treating them right. How about you properly take good care of them and nurture them properly.
Here are some helpful tips that will help you maintain healthy nails.
1. Do not shake your polish to mix it up.
We all know that when you don’t use your nail polish for a while, it settles and the ingredients separate. When next you want to use it, instead of shaking it up and down, try rolling the bottle between your hands. This is because shaking it up and down will create air bubbles in the polish that can also show up as tiny bubbles on your nails when you paint them.
2. Avoid using acrylic polish.
Acrylic polishes are extremely bad for your nails’ health. It can dry up and suffocate your nail bed. Applying it can also cause indentations on your tips from all of the rough prep that needs to be done by the nail tech to get the acrylic to adhere to your nails.
3. Keep your hands very clean.
It is very important to make sure your nails and the skin around them are dirt-free at all times. Ensure to remove all traces of your previous nail polish with an acetone-free remover. We recommend that you use toothbrush and soap to gently scrub your nails and skin. It will remove dirt and exfoliate any dead skin without the need for harsh, drying chemicals or expensive scrubs.
4. Be gentle on your nails.
Nails are delicate and so scrubbing them too roughly can actually expose you to infection. Avoid using metal tools under the nail, too much digging can cause the nail plate to separate from the skin.

5. Be sure to trim your nails regularly.
It is very important to trim your nails regularly. So set aside time to clip them every two weeks.
6. Always use a nail file
Be sure to always keep a nail file handy to smooth away any rough edges that happen on the spot. Work in one direction with the grain of your nail file for a smoother finish.
7. Clean up your nail tools
Disinfecting your nail tools between uses is just as important as regularly cleaning your makeup brushes. To keep your nails happy and infection-free, wash metal tools with soap and water, then wipe them with rubbing alcohol.
8. Give your nails a break.
Sometimes its best to give your nail a break. Let your nail breathe. Don’t fix your nails for a week or two. Don’t rub that polish. Let’s see the natural beauty of your nails. Also, going from one nail polish to another without giving your nails a break can dry them out, turn them yellow and even weaken the structure of the nail.
