Chrissy Teigen Deletes Her Twitter Account Of 14 Million Followers

Model and author Chrissy Teigen has deleted her Twitter account of over 14 million followers.

Chrissy Teigen Announces Departure from TwitterThe mother of two and wife to musician John Legend made the reveal on Wednesday 24th, announcing she’d made the decision to quit the micro-blogging app.

“Hey. For over 10 years, you guys have been my world,” she wrote.

“I honestly owe so much to this world we have created here. I truly consider so many of you my actual friends. But it’s time for me to say goodbye.”

“My desire to be liked and fear of pissing people off has made me somebody you didn’t sign up for, and a different human than I started out here as!”

“Please know all I ever cared about was you!!!” her last tweet read.

In September 2020, Chrissy Teigen and her husband Legend shared a heartbreaking update on their pregnancy; they had a miscarriage.

Posting a strikingly sad picture, Teigen had written of their shock and grief on social media.

“We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before.

“We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough.” The 34-year-old wrote on her Instagram on Wednesday night, September 30th.

 

Their announcement was greeted with mixed reactions. While many sympathised with them over the miscarriage, the couple came under harsh criticisms for sharing personal and private information to the general public in such a graphic manner.

 

Many are speculating if the constant negativity is the reason why the cookbook author and model have decided to quit Twitter.
