[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Over the weekend, calls for COZA Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo to step down from the pulpit after r*pe accusations against him flooded social media. Now, anti-r*pe activists have stormed the environs around COZA churches in Abuja and Lagos, demanding justice for r*pe victims within and outside the church.

On Friday, 28th June 2019, a video was released on Y TV where celebrity photographer Busola Dakolo detailed her gruesome experiences with senior pastor at COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo. She alleged that he forced himself on her when she was 16. It happened right in her home, when her family was away. You can take a look at her detailed narration here as told by Chude Jideonwo.

Prior to this incident, a number of other women have come out to accuse the man of God of s*xual assault.

Fatoyinbo subsequently denied all the r*pe allegations against him. He also ordered for his lawyers to institute criminal cases against Mrs Dakolo.

The protesters at COZA churches demand not only justice for the s*xual assault survivors in the church but also for Fatoyinbo to step down from the pulpit.

The Abuja and Lagos headquarters of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly saw heavy police and security presence on Sunday morning, 30th June 2019. The protesters, unmoved, gathered carrying placards bearing “Step Down Pastor Biodun”, “Church not brothel”, “R*pe not my anointed”, “Thou Shalt Not R**e” and much more.

Meanwhile, the services went on inside the auditorium, undisturbed.
