Clubhouse the once invite-only app has gone public, the company announced yesterday. Co-founders Paul Davison and Rohan Seth have made the app open to the public.
So If you signup right now, you will automatically join with no waiting list. Sadly, the 10 million people already on the waitlist, will be slowly joining the platform in the coming weeks/months.
A blog post citing the change said “The invite system has been an important part of our early history.”
“By adding people in waves, welcoming new faces each week in our Wednesday Orientations, and talking with the community each Sunday in Town Hall,”
“we’ve been able to grow Clubhouse in a measured way, and keep things from breaking as we’ve scaled.”
Clubhouse has a new company logo and app icon. 21 Savage Manager, Justin “Meezy” Williams is currently the company’s new app icon.

Twitter Is Testing Voice-Based Chat Rooms Called Spaces, Reminiscent Of Clubhouse
The Start
The voice-based social network has been growing in popularity over the past several months, rolling out on Android in a beta state. It was available in the United States at first; with other English-speaking places (and eventually the rest of the world) getting access.
Clubhouse was invite-only some months ago across both iOS and Android.
The company has been the talk of the social networking town in 2021, as more people are gradually let into what has traditionally been a fairly exclusive marketplace of ideas. Its massive voice chat rooms are known for numerous discussions.
Clubhouse is now ready to compete, and lifting its restrictions from invite-only to public adoption is the right step in the same direction. Twitter space is a direct rival to Clubhouse chat features and it is open to all.
