“Cruella” had its theatrical release on 28th May and since have been getting the buzz from movie lovers all over. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie and produced by Andrew Gunn, Marc Platt and Kristin Burr.“Cruella,” follows the story of Estella (Emma Stone) an aspiring designer determined to make a mark in the fashion industry. She befriends a pair of young thieves Jasper (Joel Fry) and Horace (Paul Walter Houser) after the loss of her mother and together they build a life for themselves on the streets of London.

Estella’s love for fashion catches the eye of Baroness von Hellman a fashion legend played by two-time Oscar winner Emma Thompson. But their relationship unfolds revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become revenge-bent Cruella who is ready to bring down the Baroness at all cost.

Emma Stone’s act as both Estella and Cruella is impeccable. She is the sweet aspiring designer (Estella) and at the same time, the harsh and daring Cruella. The plot twist in the film is also mind-blowing, who would have thought that Cruella is even related to the Baroness?. The director also uses flashbacks to fix all the missing dots in the film and there is no point where the viewer is confused.

Two-time Academy Award-winning costume designer extraordinaire Jenny Beavan dresses up Emma Stone in this film. Jenny keeps viewers glued to the film with artistic and beautiful costumes. The looks are tasteful, filled with iconic dresses and the tailoring is top-notch.

“Cruella” is a film for all ages and one that every member of the family will enjoy watching. It is presently streaming on Disney + and the cinema closest to you.
