Unused apps may still be running in the background of your phone. They can cause phones to overheat if they are much. There is a simple solution to this.

On an iPhone, all you have to do is press your home button twice and swipe the apps away. This will also increase your phone’s battery life.

On an Android phone, there are third-party apps that can help you get it done, Phone Master is one. Without the app, you can minimize and swipe the apps away as well.

Switch to Airplane Mode or Turn Off Mobile Data.

Airplane mode allows you to turn off all non-essential functions on your phone that can take a toll on your battery and phone in general. However, you will not be able to receive phone calls in airplane mode.

Turning off mobile data only, however, will only disable data services but will allow you receive phone calls and reduce activities that will overheat your phone and drain your battery.

Take your Case Off / Avoid Direct Sunlight on your Phone.

Whenever your phone is overheating, allowing the phone to breathe by taking its case off. This will unblock the phone’s heat vents and let them do their job without being blocked also allowing your phone to cool down quickly.

A tropical climate or a warmer temperature means when you go out with your phone, you most likely will be exposed to the sunlight, your phone too. Avoid direct sunlight on your phone.

The easiest way to prevent overheating is to keep your phone out of the sun. Your phone catches heat from the sun and retains it, getting hotter the longer it remains in sunlight and heat.
