David Tlale Is Joining The Fight Against Covid-19 With His New Collection ‘Classica Icons’

South African designer David Tlale is joining the campaign for Covid-19 with his new collection. David Tlale in partnership with Boschendal Wines revealed his A/W 20/21 collection titled Classica Icons.

 

One of the biggest fashion designer from Africa, Tlale has showcased in Cape Town Fashion Week, New York, Fashion Week, and Paris Fashion Week and more.

 

His collections are also highly sort after by major retailers across the globe.

 

While his collection was unveiled in a show that was pre-recorded and presented digitally, it took nothing away from how elegantly the it was delivered.

 

The show featured a mix of men’s and womenswear. David Tlale is famous for his glitzy designs; pieces that reflect and dazzle with warm burst of colors.

This time however, Tlale puts a spin to his design with the present outbreak of Covid-19 around the world in mind.

 

Some of the were accessorised with high-fashion health precautionary items; gloves and face masks.

According to the designer the show:

“serves as a call-to-action for the local Clothing and Textile Industry and the fashion community at large to help amplify and bring awareness to business sustainability in South Africa, and encourage adherence to the set ‘National lockdown regulations.

 

This prompts new ways of presenting craftsmanship and creativity of David Tlale’s signature trailblazing approach to fashion, promising to inspire “Africa and Global Trends” in this coming Season.”
