Davido’s official photographer, Fortunate Peter Umunname, aka Fortune Shotz has passed on. He reportedly drowned on Tuesday 21st September, at a location in Lekki, Lagos.
Fortunate is known to have worked with many Nigerian celebrities. He was Davido’s official photographer and hailed the singer in 2019 for changing his life for good.

Below are three things you should know about Fortunate Umunname before he died
1. Fortunate Umunname was born and raised in Bariga, Lagos but hails from Owerri in Imo state.
2. He was 24 years old.
3. Until his death, the celebrity photographer worked with several celebrities including Davido, Pogba, Popcaan, Lil baby, Cassanova, Mayorkun, Wizkid, Jidenna, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy, Patoranking, Akon, DMW and many more.
Fortunate’s death is coming just three months after personal aide Habeeth Othman aka Obama DMW died.
According to multiple reports, he died of heart failure. He reportedly died yesterday, 29th June 2021, at Ever-care hospital in Admiralty Way, Lagos.
It was gathered that he had complained of having breathing difficulties and drove himself to the hospital, where he was admitted for treatment. Unfortunately, he died a few hours later.
Obama DMW was buried on 30th June at Epe Lagos. Until his death, Obama DMW was the founder and CEO of Obama Music Worldwide (OMW) record label.
