Davido’s album “A Better Time” is living up to its name as it has debuted on this week’s US Billboard 200 charts.
The album debuted in No. #170, making it the artist’s first-ever album to make an entrance into the Billboard Premier Charts.
The album features collaboration from Lil Baby, Tiwa Savage, Mayorkun, Chris Brown, Young Thug, Nicki Minaj, Bella Shmurda, Sho Madjozi, Nas, and Hitboy.
Davido, speaking on the album shared;
“I won’t keep you any longer. This year we’ve been through crazy times. Real crazy times. And through it all, we’ve all had to look inwards to find our unique hopes of better times ahead. I found a few. In human form and creative form. I’m so glad I can finally share them with you. I present to you ‘A Better Time’”

According to the “FEM” crooner, he had time to record as all his shows were cancelled because of the pandemic.
“I got back in the studio, and funny enough, I was making better music than I had previously dropped, and we just kept going,” he told Rolling Stone.
Davido is the Nigerian artist with the most appearance on Billboard charts. His songs “Fall”, Betty Butter, have made entries into the charts.
Also, his recent songs “FEM” and “Holy Ground” off a “A Better Time” charted at different numbers on Billboard. Davido’s album is the fifth Nigerian album to debut on the US Billboard album chart.
In the eighties, Sunny Ade’s two albums also charted on Billboard. Wizkid’s album ” Made In Lagos” also made an entry into Billboard 200 at number 80.
Burna Boy’s album “Twice as Tall” is the highest-charting Nigerian album to ever debut on the charts at number 53.
