DMW top musician David Adeleke aka Davido has reacted to Kanye West’s sampling of his song “IF”. Yesterday, 16th December 2019, the internet went agog when a video of Kanye’s Sunday Choir singing a part of “IF” surfaced.
They sang “I love you, I love you, and there is nothing above you, there’s nothing above you!” repeatedly.

Davido revealed that they recorded the song as far back as nine months ago. Cardi B’s record label had something to do with the delay in release, Davido mentioned while in an interview with Beat FM.
Already fans of the artiste are tweeting that Davido is the biggest artist in Africa. They argue that this is because of his songs that are widely appreciated by foreign artistes. One tweeted:
D likes of CIARA,TORY LANEZ, LIL UZI VERT, BUSTA RHYMES, CARDI B,LIL PUMP,R.KELLY,STEF LON-DON,ARIANA GRANDE, KANYE WEST,TREY SONGZ etc have all jumped on DAVIDO’S IF & FALL, I don’t need a Twitter poll to know that these two songs are the most widely recognised AFROBEAT SONGS💪 pic.twitter.com/n72INPrQWG
