Dell Adds Frost, A New Color Option To XPS 15 Line Up

Dell will add a new colour option to its XPS 15 range and it is calling the whitish colour, Frost. This is the first time ever the laptop maker is adding a new colour option to the XPS 15 lineup.

 

The XPS 15 range comes in silver aluminum and black carbon fiber in the standard model. Dell says that the laptop comes with a ”frost machined aluminum with arctic white woven glass palm rest,” according to CNET.

 

Regarding its specifications, it offers the same graphics card options as the current XPS Desktop Special Edition.

The range features the Nvidia GeForce GT 1030 to an RTX 2070 Super. It also packs the 10th-gen equivalents of the current ninth-gen Intel processors, ranging from a Core i3-10100 up to a Core i9-10900K.

 

The device is lightweight (weighing just about 2.1 kg) with a 4K “UHD Plus” 3,840×2,400-pixel display and a 15-inch touchscreen. The RAM packs at least 8GB 3,733MHz LPDDR4x at the base option which can be maxed out to 64GB and a 512GB Solid State Drive.

 

The XPS 15 also includes 3 USB-C ports, of which two are Thunderbolt 3 connections and a headphone jack. It comes with an SD card reader, Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650s (802.11ax), and Bluetooth 5.1 for its networking. There’s a fingerprint sensor built-in to its power button and speakers on both sides of the keyboard. The device also launches with a Microsoft Windows 10 Home (1909) Operating system.

 

The Dell XPS 15 will be available for sale later in 2020 but the new Frost colour will cost $50 extra.
