DIY: Learn How To Make Carrot Oil For Skin And Hair

Here’s how to make carrot oil in your home.

What you’ll need

  • Five baby carrots
  • Food processor or hand grater
  • Crockpot
  • Coconut oil, olive oil or sesame oil
  • Strainer

How to prepare

  • Wash and peel the carrot skin
  • Use the hand grater or food processor to grate the carrots

  • Pour the grated carrots in the crockpot, add oil of your choice and set the crockpot to it’s lowest temperature
  • If you do not own a crockpot you can use a normal pot and place on electric low heat
  • Let the oil and carrot steam together for as long as possible until the oil becomes orange.
  • For a crockpot, make sure the heat does not exceed 100 – 150 degrees Fahrenheit
  • Once the infusion process is complete, pour the oil and carrot combination through a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth to extract the oil

Thrash the carrot bits and strain oil into a glass jar for later use.
