It’s this amazing journey of me, a young, exciting, African woman, with this global vision, with highs and lows, ups and downs. It’s me trying to represent myself and be my authentic self. I’ve been lucky enough to live around the world. I have to say, being African is the best thing ever.”

“It was always this way so there are parts of this album where I celebrate my Africaness. But there are also parts where I can remember that I wasn’t so proud of being African because I was stuck in this Western mentality where I felt like I had to fit in, I had to change who I was. So this is me being unapologetically myself. And it’s about time for me.”
