The Imo State police released a statement on the arrest saying the singer’s arrest was for his failure to honour an agreement. This came after his release in October 2019 over the petition by a rap artist, M2.
The deal was to manage, promote, and arrange a collaboration with other top artists. It also included signing M2 under Young Wealth record label owned by Duncan Mighty.
This agreement was sealed with a fee of ₦11 million which was paid to Duncan Mighty. However, since collecting the payment, he refused to fulfil his part of the deal.
The musician has not yet said anything about what he went through in the hands of the Imo State Police.
It is good to know that he is safe and sound. Hopefully, both parties have reconciled their differences.
