He was the world champion of the Fortnite computer game.

It was the largest prize pool in the history of e-sports. The sum of $30 million (₦10.8 trillion) was shared among all the winners.
16-year-old Kyle Giersdorf won the solo event of the competition. The Fortnite champion competed for the prize at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York.
Next in line was 15-year-old Jaden Ashman from London who won £1 million (₦441 million) for coming second. 14-year-old British teenager Kyle Jackson also walked away with the third major prize money.
Giersdorf, nicknamed Bugha, told the media that he intends to save most of the prize. He beat his rivals with a smile on his face and a very large victory lap. The final event had 100 players battle on giant computer screens.
Teenager wins over a trillion naira
Forty million players attempted the online championship. However, it was done over a period of a 10-week online competition.
The viral game involves 100 players being dropped onto an island. The players will then have to find weapons, build structures and eliminate each other. Each player will compete to be the last one standing.
Over 200 million people registered to play the game worldwide. The game is free to download but players would need to pay for in-game purchases.
Players can play alone or as part of a four-person squad. They can also play as a 20-member team with friends or strangers online.
The game has also faced a lot of controversies around the world. Lawmakers in the UK asked the game developers, Epic Games, if they did enough to verify the players’ ages. They also wanted to know if they encouraged the users to take breaks after long hours of gameplay.
Meanwhile, the Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, also asked for the game to be banned. He blamed it for being too addictive. Other countries like China and India are also taking steps to control the influx of the game in their regions.
