1. The screw and hammer method

As long as you find a screwdriver and a hammer, then you’re on your way to happy town with a glass of wine. Stick the screw into the cork, then use the screwdriver to screw it in further. Finally, use the end of the hammer — not the head — to pull out the screw. And voila!!! Your wine is open.

 

2. Wooden spoon to the rescue

All you need for this trick is some strength from your wrist. With a slim wooden spoon, push through the cork with enough force until it slips into the bottle. Why this trick is effective is because you can achieve it without any cork crumbs.

 

 

3. Drill and nail tool

If you don’t have a screwdriver then you can use a drill. By placing your nail on the cork, you should drill it in. However, be careful not to drill too far. Then, you should use the end of the hammer to pull out the cork. Happy wine drinking!

Desperate times call for desperate measures, especially when you don’t have a corkscrew or a tool. Wrap the bottom and side of the bottle an with a towel. Ensure it is well-cushioned so it doesn’t shatter. Then bang the base against the wall. Do this in horizontal motion until the cork begins to move out. When it does, you can yank it out with your hand.

 

 

5. The key trick

If you have no guts for the wall bang, then you can go safe with the key. Pus the key into the cork until it’s properly propped in. After that, you can pull out the cork until it pops right out.

 

 

6. Pump it until it pops

Another easy trick is to use your bike pump. As long as it has a needle, it won’t be useless. Shove the needle through the cork, and then pump it. The air that goes through would let the cork pop in no time. Remember to share a sip with us when you succeed.
