SpaceX CEO and Founder, Elon Musk recently bought the Virgin Galactic’s Spaceship Two ticket to space from Billionaire friend Richard Branson.
According to the wall street journal, a spokesman for Virgin Galactic broke the news. Musk now joins 600 people who bought the $250,000 ticket for the space flight, Galactics has received $80 million in sales and deposits.
On Sunday, Virgin Galactic completed a flight to space and back, Richard Branson, two pilots, and three crewmates took the historic flight.
When they reached Space, all three crew members, and Banson floated for a while before they were strapped and headed back to earth. The Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo Unity returned back to earth yesterday at the company’s facility in the New Mexico desert.
The Spaceship took off around 11:25 eastern time after a 90 minutes delay due to strong winds and landed back at 11:39 eastern time. Elon Musk has been friends with Billionaire Branson, the ticket gesture shows their level of friendship and his show of support.
SpaceX CEO Elon Musk was on the ground to watch Branson takeoff during his trip to space.
Branson tweeted before the flight “Thanks for being so typically supportive and such a good friend, Elon.”

“Great to start the morning with a friend,” he said in another tweet. “Feeling good, feeling excited, feeling ready.”
Virgin Galactic is at the forefront of commercial Space travel.
They received the United States FAA (Federal Aviation Administration’s) approval to fly customers on its Spaceship Two rocket plane.
Nasa a few months ago awarded the Artemis moon lander work project to SpaceX.
Elon Musk SpaceX currently runs a SmallSat Rideshare Program, geared at offering small satellite space rides for $1 million and more. These rides are for companies looking to launch communication satellites or Earth observation.
Although SpaceX has been performing Starlink and government projects, its first private astronaut trip is planned for September this year.
This is a more robust trip into Space, a longer and more expensive trip than Virgin Galactic’s recent trip and Blue Origin proposed trip for July 20th.
Richard Branson’s space flight beat Jeff Bezos by 9 days after the former Amazon CEO scheduled his Blue Origin space flight for July 20.
