Elon Musk has denied having an affair with Nicole Shanahan, wife of Google co-founder, Sergey Brin. The Tesla boss also went ahead to claim that he and Brin were still in good terms.

As we reported, the Wall Street Journal had quoted sources close to the couple claiming that Musk had been romantically involved with Nicole around December last year. Although things were not rosy at the time, Brin and his estranged wife were still living together.

However, with the alleged affair, they decided to file for divorce with details yet to be finalised. Now, it seems that Elon Musk is taking issue with the circulating story.

“This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last Night!,” he Tweeted, according to a BBC report. “I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic.”

He also went on to accuse the Wall Street Journal of targeting him and Tesla with ‘hit pieces’ in another Tweet. Meanwhile, the concerned couple have not said anything about the article and Brin, although said to be lively in private settings, rarely says anything in the media. So, we are not holding our breath for any response.

Nicole Shanahan is an attorney and founder of legal technology company ClearAccessIP and the philanthropic Bia-Echo Foundation. She and the Google co-founder started dating after he divorced his wife of eight years, Anne Wojcicki, and tied the knot in 2018.
