Elon Musk Posts Funny Depression Meme After SpaceX Boca Chica Failure

While testing the SpaceX Starship SN1 to show its cyro-proof features, the vehicle had imploded but Elon Musk, one to take failure lightly, had tweeted about it using a meme referring to male depression.

SpaceX had built a prototype rocket named Starship SN1 that could withstand high pressure but it had failed its launch test on Friday 28th February 2020. There is no information yet about injuries and/or other casualties from the failed test.

The silo-shaped tank was designed in Boca Chica, near Texas. Elon Musk’s SpaceX owns the launch site in the Southern part of Texas and it had been chosen for this test flight.

The scientists had conducted the test using inert liquid Nitrogen. However, the vehicle failed to make much progress as it compressed and folded under pressure.

SpaceX had designed the Starship SN1 as a test rocket. The high-altitude, high-velocity ‘Starship orbital prototypes’ are planned to be used to develop and flight-test thermal protection systems and hypersonic reentry control surfaces.

Elon Musk had posted a YouTube video of the failed test on his Twitter page. He tweeted:

Then in a series of tweets, Musk mentioned that the failure was not much of a ‘big deal’. Before he then posted the male depression meme:

This is not the first time the billionaire scientist and CEO of both SpaceX and Tesla, as well as other companies, had jovially addressed a test failure. In November 2020 after the Cybertruck’s shattered when hit by a metal ball, Musk had simply said he didn’t know why the ‘bulletproof’ glass had broken in.

According to reports, engineers are already working on another ship, the Starship SN2, to replace the damaged Starship SN1. As many already know, failure only means that Elon Musk will keep trying until SpaceX perfects the cyro-proof spaceship vehicle.
