Elon Musk says the Tesla Cybertruck could flop when it eventually goes on sale, this is because of its weird design and size.
The truck is going up against GM’s Hummer EV and the popular F-150 pickup which is a country favorite.
Musk responded to an inquiry from Tesla Owners Online about the Cybertruck on Twitter, predicting the Cybertruck will be “a huge hit.” Later on, he says
“To be frank, there is always some chance that Cybertruck will flop because it is so unlike anything else.”
He waved off the remark with even if it fails it won’t hurt him, saying “I love it so much even if others don’t.”
He said further“other trucks look like copies of the same thing … Cybertruck looks like it was made by aliens from the future.”
Earlier this week, he announced rear-wheel steering for the truck’s practicality, maneuvering tight corners.
In the same tweet, Musk mentioned that a “lot of other great things coming” to the Cybertruck and in his typical fashion barely spilled any milk.

A midrange $49,900 dual-motor with 300 miles of range and 10,000 pounds tow capacity.
The High-end $69,000 model with a tri-motor, 500 miles of range, and 14,000 pounds tow capacity.
The Cybertruck will be manufactured in the Austin plant, Texas currently ongoing construction; and delivered by the end of the year.
If the Cybertruck eventually becomes a flop, Musk mentioned last it would consider making “some copycat truck,” and offering the original variant of the Truck into a museum artifact.
