— Fallout: London modders scrap Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles zombie characters.
— The game’s release date is teased for sometime in 2023.
— The late Queen and new King of England may be replaced by other characters.
London-based modders of the post-apocalyptic role-playing video game franchise, Fallout, are not releasing zombie versions of late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles (now King Charles).
Fallout: London is a mod project that is scheduled for release in 2023 and it is described as ‘ambitious’ and a very big deal in the Fallout modding community. The mod is based on the original Bethesda Game Studios’ 2015 release, Fallout 4.
Gamers had been anticipating the zombified characters of the Queen and then-Prince Charles, but recent events make it difficult for the small community of developers to move forward with their original plans.

After Queen Elizabeth passed on September 8, 2022, the project lead Dean Carter announced their plans to drop the character. Now, he is expanding on the initial brief announcement.
“We have always maintained that if she was to pass away before the mod was complete we would change it. Do not expect them in there. There’s no point asking in the comments. There’s no point moaning. It’s the official stance of the mod and it will not change,” Carter said.
While the mods have been scrapped, their concept arts had been teased with both zombies appearing garbed in attires that their real-life counterparts are known for. Now, they may be replaced by other characters, likely those with some level of fame. The modders have not revealed their plans for the vacancy that opened up.
