South Korean company Samsung fancies producing smartwatches that can comfortably take selfie pictures and watch videos on a large screen. Samsung currently has filed a patent with the World Intellectual Property Office, for a Galaxy watch with a rollable screen and a camera feature.

The patent resembles exactly its new line of smartwatches, but with a crown that increases the screen. Also, right in the middle of the patent is a wedge that can allow users to capture a picture.

This quirky design reveals a larger watch face that has a drawing which is Marvel’s Thor on the watch. While these new innovations are exciting, they may not be practical enough for the everyday user.

Samsung is reportedly working on a Galaxy Home Mini 2 with display, a newer version of the Galaxy Home Mini. This report from SamMobile is a significant update to the 2019 released smart speaker.

The newer display with the Samsung smart speaker could resemble the likes of the Galaxy Mini, Amazon Echo Show or Google’s Home Hub. Possibly, the Home Mini 2 will have a global launch as its predecessor was only limited to South Korea.

The original Galaxy Home Mini was a test into the market for Samsung, gathering feedback from customers over the years. Just Maybe the Mini 2 would build on that success by launching globally.

One of the vulnerabilities of smartwatches taking pictures and even watching videos will drain their batteries. Even watching videos on normal smartwatches can be laggy and unresponsive.

This patent watch has a wedge in the middle, watching videos on this device will not be immersive. The physical pains of holding your arm in an awkward position will halt its media consumption feature.
