Giddy up guys, the days of cinemas are back!
The global coronavirus induced pandemic had caused the way of life we once knew to change drastically. Gone was all the outdoor events; bars, clubs, eateries were shut down since March due to social distancing and ensuing lockdown.
This of course affected cinemas causing Nigeria’s budding cinema culture to dwindle.
However, it seems things are easing back and we may be getting our lives back, even though everyone has to adapt to a new normal.
Churches have been reopened, the federal government is considering opening schools and the curfew hours have been reduced. Furthermore, the Government also annouced that cinemas can reopen and we held our breaths.
We’ve surely missed going out to cinemas to see spanking new movies. Dressing up for premieres and slaying the red carpet. The rush that comes when the theatre light goes off and the huge screen flashes on; all memorable moments.
