1. Fireworks
This is literally an explosion of flavours in your glass. It is spicy, colourful, and full of excitement right down to the last drop. Enjoy this cocktail as an aperitif and kick off the night with style.
Ingredients
- 60 ml (2 oz.) spiced rum
- 90 ml (3 oz.) cola
- 2 splash of tabasco
- Ice cubes
- 1 chilli pepper
- 1 lime slice
Type of glass: Old-fashioned glass
Utensils: Mixing spoon
Strength: Strong
Directions
- Put ice cubes in a double old-fashioned glass (or a snifter).
- Combine rum, cola and tabasco in the glass.
- Stir using a mixing spoon.
- Garnish with a chilli pepper and a lime slice.
2. Magic potion
A magic potion indeed, this drink will only enchant, but not harm. The cocktail has a delicious creamy texture that is sure to delight guests and weave a magical spell all through your evening.
Ingredients
- 30 ml (1 oz.) dark rum
- 30 ml (1 oz.) maple cream
- 90 ml (3 oz.) milk
- 60 ml (2 oz.) carrot juice
- Ice cubes
- 1 cinnamon stick
Type of glass: Highball glass
Utensils: Shaker, ice strainer
Strength: Light
Directions
- Combine maple syrup cream liqueur and milk in a shaker filled with ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously for 15 to 20 seconds. A rich head of froth should form.
- Strain into a highball glass using an ice strainer.
- Combine rum and carrot juice in the shaker filled with ice cubes.
- Shake vigorously for 8 to 10 seconds.
- Strain gently into the glass.

3. Star-studded sangria
Stars in your eyes and sangria in your cup—what could be better? You’ll be full of luck and love with this outstanding mix of red wine, vodka, and spiced rum, just make sure you make enough for all your star-crossed friends!
Ingredients
- 150 ml (5 oz.) red wine, cold
- 25 ml (3/4 oz.) vodka, chilled
- 25 ml (3/4 oz.) spiced rum, chilled
- 75 ml (2 1/2 oz.) water
- Raw cane sugar
- Juice of 1 orange quarter
- Zest of 1 orange
- Sections of one orange half
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 clove
- A star fruit slice
- 1 orange slice
Type of glass: Old-fashioned glass
Utensils: Mixing spoon
Strength: Strong
Directions
- One day before, place the orange zest and sections into ice cube trays, fill with water and set aside in the freezer.
- In a saucepan, over medium heat, bring the orange juice, water, 15 ml (1/2 oz.) of sugar, one bay leave, the cinnamon and clove to a boil. Lower the heat and reduce the mixture by 2/3. Let cool and infuse.
- Place some sugar in a saucer. Rub the edge of an old-fashioned glass with a slice of orange and dip into the sugar.
- Place a few fruit ice cubes in the glass.
- Add the red wine, vodka and spiced rum.
- Then add the syrup, passing it through a sieve placed above the glass.
- Add the remaining bay leave.
- Stir using a mixing spoon.
- Garnish with a star fruit slice and an orange slice.
4. Melon paradise
If you’re scared of attracting bad luck, this cocktail will instantly reassure you. With fruity notes of melon and pineapple, you and your taste buds will be safe and sound in paradise!
Ingredients
- 45 ml (1 1/2 oz.) melon liqueur
- 105 ml (3 1/2 oz.) pineapple juice
- Ice cubes
- 1 pineapple leaf
- 1 pineapple slice
Type of glass: Old-fashioned glass

Directions
- Pour the melon liqueur in an old-fashioned glass containing a few ice cubes.
- Slowly pour in the pineapple juice to form a layered cocktail.
- Garnish with a pineapple leaf and slice.
5. Island beauty

- 40 ml (1 1/4 oz.) pear and cognac liqueur
- 150 ml (5 oz.) club soda
- 3 lime slices
- Fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes
Type of glass: Highball glass
Utensils: Pestle or muddler
Strength: Light
Directions
- In a highball glass, pour half of the pear and cognac liqueur.
- Using a muddler, crush the lime slices and fresh mint leaves in the glass.
- Add ice cubes and dilute with club soda.
- Top with the other half of the pear and cognac liqueur.
- Garnish with mint leaves and a slice of lime.
