Here are five things you probably didn’t know about Sound Sultan’s widow.

1. Her maiden name is Chichi Morah. She’s from the eastern part of Nigeria.

2. She changed her name to Farida after converting to Islam following her marriage to Sultan, who was a devout Muslim till his death.

3. The couple wed in 2009 and have since had three children together.

4. She is a very private person. Sound Sultan in an interview had revealed that his wife’s attitude to stardom has somehow helped them make their marriage successful.

“My wife does not even like the limelight at all. If she is at an event with me, you would not even know she is my wife, you would just see her as one of the guests with the way she would blend with people. Without me taking all the glory, I think that has helped my marriage.”

5. The couple were very much in love from indications. They did not fail to celebrate their wedding anniversary on social media.

Sound Sultan breathed his last on Sunday 11th July 2021 after battling lymphoma, a type of cancer that starts in the white blood cells.

The deceased’s funeral was held at 9pm on Sunday 11th July at the Marlboro Muslim Cemetry in New Jersey, United States Of America.
