Four teenagers have been charged with the murder of rapper Pop Smoke inside his Hollywood Hills home earlier this year.

Prosecutors said Corey Walker, 19, and Keandre Rodgers, 18, killed Pop Smoke in the course of a robbery.

This robbery happened at his multimillion-dollar home on Hercules Drive in February 2020, according to a news release issued by the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office.

A 17-year-old and 15-year-old defendant was also charged with murder and robbery in a juvenile court. Their identities were withheld because of their age.

Meanwhile, Los Angeles police arrested the four teenagers in connection with the shooting last week. The LAPD initially identified another suspect, Jaquan Murphy.  Jaquan is yet to receive charges in Pop Smoke’s death.

Capt. Jon Tippet, who heads the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division, said Murphy would face murder and attempted murder charges in an unrelated string of shootings that took place in South L.A. earlier in the year.

Bashar Barakah Jackson aka Pop Smoke died after suffering from many gunshot wounds on 19th February, 2020. He was rushed for treatment to Cedar’s Sinai hospital but died shortly after.

The rapper’s posthumous album “Shoot For The Stars, Aim For The Moon” made history last week, debuting at number two in the UK album chart.
