Foxconn Assures Apple Fans That It Will Meet Their iPhone 12 Demands

A new report from Foxconn claims that multinational electronics manufacturers will be able to meet the demands for new iPhones in 2020.

Previously, the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, had forced many factories including Foxconn to take the foot of the gas. However, with normalcy returning to China, Foxconn seems to be ready to fire ahead on all cylinders.

The major issue that the company had faced was an unprecedented scarcity of workers. This had been because the viral infection had made it impossible to continue the production of both the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.

To further alleviate fears, Foxconn assured the media that they took all the necessary precautions. For example, at the height of the infection in China, Foxconn had closed down many of its factories for some time.

Even after the infection spread reduced, it still put some exercises in place. According to Nikkei, it instituted rigorous measures to prevent infection. A total of 55,000 workers received PCR coronavirus tests, and over 40,000 people underwent chest X-rays.

However, analysts are guessing that the company has to speed up production to make up for the lost time. Also, the time left is reduced as Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro in September 2020.

Foxconn while acknowledging the challenge reveals that it is confident it will meet the iPhone 12 demand because it has recruitment plans that are working out well.

Apple had announced that it is suspending the iPhone 12 launch before. But it is still unlikely that Apple will be able to launch in multiple countries as it usually does. It also has the option to limit the number of countries and still launch successfully.

Apple has been getting good news in recent days. All its 42 stores in China have reopened for business. Its production line within the country is also moving forward.

Its stores outside of China, however, remains closed as the world battles on with the coronavirus. There are speculations that some may reopen in April.
