Unofficial renders of the coming smartphones — Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 — have leaked online; see additional details.
While their forms remain the same, we spotted several changes on the renders. For one, the Fold 4 shows a redesigned rear camera configuration that differs from its predecessor, the Fold 3. Although, it is reminiscent of what Galaxy S22 Ultra brings.
Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 is rumoured to be coming with an under-display selfie camera, and the leaked render shows this. Meanwhile, the S-Pen stylus’ slot is missing, which is not surprising as the same thing happened with the former version, and this did not stop it from supporting the pen’s use.

On the other hand, what could be the Galaxy Z Flip 4 also appeared in a different render leak. It features a new camera bump but has almost the same look as its predecessor.
Likely, Samsung may be looking at improving the devices’ specs instead of totally redesigning their physical appearance. However, from iPhone’s experience over recent years, when a new device looks like the former one at first glance, there is no real encouragement to upgrade. At least not for people who change phones frequently to keep up with trending aesthetics.
Granted, many will still be interested in what the phone looks like beneath its hood and performances; it wouldn’t hurt to make it look better than or different from the older version.
