1. Water

Water is a cure-all for skin problems. Drinking a lot of water will help flush out the skin and ease the swollen area around the eyes. You could also make a saline solution with warm water and rub around the eyes using cotton pads. This will reduce the inflammation around the eyes.

 

2. Cucumber slices

Chilled cucumbers reduce irritation, while the cooling effect reduces swelling. This remedy also helps to get rid of dark circles and wrinkles around the eyes. Slice up a cucumber and place the slices in the refrigerator for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove them from the refrigerator and put the cold slices over your eyelids. Leave them on for 10 to 15 minutes. You can do this several times a day.

Egg whites work as a natural astringent to temporarily tighten swollen skin. Whisk two whites until smooth and make a mask under your eyes. It works better if the eggs are cold. Leave on for five to 10 minutes, then rinse off with lukewarm water. This can also be applied all over the skin to reduce the appearance of whiteheads.

Cold steel teaspoons help to relax the blood vessels and reduce the swelling in the under-eye area. Place the teaspoons in your fridge for about half an hour. Tea is an easy home remedy and works inside and outside your body. Soak two tea bags in warm water for around five minutes. Put the warm tea bags over your eyelids. Cover them with a soft cloth and leave them for about half an hour. The caffeine and antioxidants in it help to reduce the swelling that is usually caused as a result of fluid accumulation in the area.

Extra virgin coconut oil contains lauric acid which possesses anti-inflammatory properties. Using clean fingers, massage the oil around your eyes in a clockwise and anti-clockwise motion for a few minutes. Leave it on overnight. Repeat this process before bed every night. Regular application of coconut oil will provide essential nutrients to the skin help you eliminate the eye bags.

7. Witch hazel

Soak cotton pads in cold witch hazel for a minute. Squeeze out the excess and place the pads on your eye bags for 10 to 15 minutes. Repeat this twice or thrice a day.
