Ghanaian Afrobeats singer Wendy Asiamah Adoo, aka Wendy Shay, has explained how her best friend snatched her man.
In a Twitter post, the Afropop star shared her story of betrayal with her followers.
Shay stated that it is now difficult for “hardworking women” to find men who truly love them.
The singer also described how her “so-called best friend” dumped her while she was “on the road chasing my passion.”
The singer, who wrote a song about her experience, revealed that her ostensible best friend and boyfriend are still together.
“It’s hard for hardworking women to get genuine love. While I was on the road chasing my passion my so-called best friend was also chasing my man and now they are together. So ShayGang excuse me for my language, this song is very personal,” she wrote.

Shay was named Best New Artiste of the Year at the Ghana-Naija Showbiz Awards in 2018.
She was also named New Artiste of the Year at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards SA.
According to a list compiled by the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch in 2021, she was one of the top 30 most influential women in music.
